- General surgery
All surgical procedures in our hospital are performed under strict AAHA sterility standards. Those standards include sterile patient preparation, surgical personnel's use of caps, masks, gloves, and gowns, and constant monitoring of the patient's heart rate, respiratory rate, and pulse oximetry. An I.V. catheter is placed in every patient, and each one is given warmed intravenous fluids as well as aggressive pain management before, during and after each procedure for the comfort of the pet.
- Orthopedic Surgery
Strict adherence to sterility standards ensures the best possible results on these challenging procedures. We perform anterior cruciate repair and patella fixation surgeries on a regular basis.
- Laser Surgery
Used in nearly every surgical procedure in our hospital, the surgical laser offers the advantages of minimal bleeding, decreased pain, decreased swelling and faster return to normal function after surgery.
